Criminal History Record Check

 
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a criminal history record check upon request; however, you can only request a criminal history record check on yourself. A criminal history record check will only include your contact with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office within the last ten (10) years, unless another timeframe is specified in your request.
 

Requesting a Criminal History Record Check

Requests for a criminal history record check must be submitted on a YCSO Local Record Check Form. Requests may be submitted in person or by mail with picture identification.
  1. In person at the YCSO Records Department located at 160 S. 3rd Avenue, Suite B, Yuma, AZ. Click for directions to YCSO Records Department

  2. Via U.S. Mail to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, Attn: Records Department, 141 S. 3rd Avenue, Yuma, AZ 85364
    NOTE: If you are submitting your request via U.S. mail, you must include a notarized copy of your picture identification and original signature along with the YCSO Local Record Check form as well as a self-addressed stamped envelope.

NOTE: Forms received without the required proof of identification will be returned to the applicant without processing.

Letter of No Record/Incarceration
Requests for a certified “Letter of No Record” or “Letter of Incarceration” can also be submitted on a YCSO Local Record Check Form by checking the appropriate box.

Please allow 3 business days for the request to be processed.

  • There is no charge for the local record check or the certified “Letter of No Record” or “Letter of Incarceration”.
  • The record check and/or letter of no record/incarceration requested will only be kept on file for two (2) weeks from the date of request.

Picture identification will be required at the time of request and pick up.

Important to Know

The criminal history record checks done by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office will only include any contact with this department. To obtain criminal history records from other local law enforcement agencies, you must contact each agency separately.
