In an effort to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, effective Thursday, March 19, 2020, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Records Department will be fulfilling Public Records/Report Requests via U.S. Postal Mail. Click on the links below to download the fill-in forms.

To submit a request, complete the form, print and sign the form, and mail it to the address below with your payment. Associated costs are listed on the form.

Obtaining Copies of Public Records & Reports
All requests for public records or reports must be submitted on a YCSO Public Records/Report Request Form. Requests may be submitted in person, by mail, and in some instances via email.

  1. In person at the YCSO Records Department located at 160 S. 3rd Avenue, Suite B, Yuma, AZ. Click for directions to YCSO Records Department

  2. Via U.S. Mail to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, Attn: Records Department, 141 S. 3rd Avenue, Yuma, AZ 85364
    NOTE: If you are submitting your request by mail, you must include a copy of your picture identification along with the Public Records/Report Request Form.

Requests are processed in the order they are received and/or based on the availability of the records/report requested. Some records/reports may take longer than others to process; for example, archived reports, and active investigations.

Please allow 15 to 20 business days for your request to be processed. Requests for larger, more extensive reports may take longer to process.To verify that a report is ready to be picked up, contact the Records Department at (928) 329-2254.

If you are requesting photographs, you will be contacted once they have been processed with the total cost and when they will be available for pick-up.

NOTE: Picture identification will be required at the time of request and pick up.

Fee Schedule for Records & Reports
The following fees apply to all public record and report requests

*Postage $1.50

*Reports, letters and photo CDs to be mailed require pre-paid postage.

Types of payment accepted at Records Department: Cash, personal check, money order, and cashier’s check. Checks should be made payable to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office.
NOTE: Credit/debit card payments are accepted in the Civil Department; however, there is a service fee which varies from $1.50-$3.50 depending on the amount charged and credit/debit card used.
