Criminal History Record Check
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a criminal history record check upon request; however, you can only request a criminal history record check on yourself. A criminal history record check will only include contact that you have had with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office within the last ten (10) years, unless otherwise specified in your request.

ATTENTION

In an effort to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, effective Thursday, March 19, 2020, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Records Department will be fulfilling Criminal History Record Checks via U.S. Postal Mail. Click on the links below to download the fill-in forms.

To submit a request for a criminal history record check via U.S. mail, complete the Local Record Check form, print and sign the form, and mail it to the address below along with a notarized copy of your picture identification and original signature. You must also include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Requesting a Criminal History Record Check
To request a criminal history record check, you must complete and submit a Local Record Check form along with picture identification.

If you are submitting your request via U.S. mail, you must include a notarized copy of your picture identification and original signature along with the Local Record Check form.

NOTE: Forms received without the required proof of identification will be returned to the applicant without processing.

Mail completed Local Record Check form and proof of identification to: Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, ATTN: Records Department, 141 S. 3rd Avenue, Yuma, AZ  85364 (You must include a self-addressed stamped envelope).

Letter of No Record/Incarceration
If you require a certified “Letter of No Record” or “Letter of Incarceration”, please indicate this by checking the appropriate box on the form.

Please allow 3 business days for the request to be processed.

  • There is no charge for the local record check or the certified "Letter of No Record/Incarceration".
  • The record check and/or letter of no record/incarceration requested will only be kept on file for two (2) weeks from the date of request.                

Picture identification will be required at the time of request and pick up.

Important to know...
The criminal history record checks done by the Yuma County Sheriff's Office will only include any contact with this department. To obtain criminal history records from other local law enforcement agencies, you must contact each agency separately.
