The medical team is composed of both county employees and contracted healthcare professionals, creating a diverse and highly skilled workforce. In April 2023, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) partnered with AB Med for Medical Director services. Under the leadership of Dr. Erik McLaughlin, the program benefits from advanced clinical oversight rooted in extensive emergency medicine experience supporting timely decision making, clinical quality, and operational efficiency.
