Services Available

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office Foothills Substation is the only substation that is manned on a full-time basis (Monday-Friday) and offers most of the services that are available at the Yuma County Sheriff's Office Main Office in Yuma. NOTE: For assistance after hours, please call (928) 783-4427 and a deputy will be dispatched to your location.

Listed below are the services we currently offer at the Foothills Substation.


Civil Process Service
The Foothills Substation personnel are able to accept legal documents (civil papers, orders of protection, injunctions against harassment, etc.) originating from the Superior Courts, Justice Courts, attorneys and private individuals for service. Forms Processing
The Foothills Substation personnel are able to accept and process the following forms:

Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting services are offered at the Foothills Substation during the following times:

Monday thru Friday (excluding holidays)
9:00-11:00 a.m.

Cost: $3.00 per card

  • The card must be filled out in black ink.
  • Picture identification is required.

Notary Services
Notary services are offered at the Foothills Substation during the following times:

Monday thru Friday (excluding holidays)
8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Cost: $2.00 - pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes 41-316 and A.A.C. R2-12-1102 (The Arizona Administrative Code Rules) 

Picture identification is required.


Personal Property Taxes
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office accepts full payment for delinquent Personal Property accounts either by mail or at the Foothills Substation and the main office located at 141 S. 3rd Avenue in Yuma. We do not accept payment for Real Property accounts. Real Property accounts are handled by the Yuma County Treasurer’s Office at 410 Maiden Lane, Yuma, AZ 85364. The telephone number is (928) 539-7781.

Address changes, corrections to ownership information, and title transfers for manufactured homes and recreational vehicles that are not affixed to real property are done at the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) located at 2165 E Gila Ridge Road in Yuma. After the changes have been completed with MVD, contact the Yuma County Assessor's Office to submit the updated information. The Assessor's Office is located at 410 Maiden Lane, Yuma, AZ 85364. The telephone number is (928) 373-6040.

Payment may be made in the form of personal check, money order, cashier’s check or cash. Cash payments can only be made in person. Only non-cash payments may be made by mail. When making a payment, it is very important that you include your Account Number on all correspondence. Checks or money orders may be made payable to the “Yuma County Sheriff’s Office” or to the "Yuma County Treasurer".

Prescription Drug Take-Back Program
The Foothills Substation serves as a full-time drop-off location for the YCSO’s prescription drug take-back program. The YCSO’s prescription drug take-back program offers the public a means to dispose of their expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs. This program helps get outdated or unused medications off household shelves and out of the reach of children and teenagers. Click link for more information: Prescription Drug Take-Back Program

Other Services


Cell Phone Collection for Victims
The Foothills Substation is a designated drop-off location for anyone who would like to donate an old cell phone (with charger) to Amberly's Place. The recycled cell phones give victims of stalking/domestic violence the ability to dial 911 in case of an emergency. All unusable phones are recycled to generate income to aid victims of abuse.
