Corrections Officer Retirement Plan (CORP) Local Board

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Officer Retirement Plan Local Board and to the general public that the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Officer Retirement Plan Local Board will hold a special meeting open to the public on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, beginning at 3:15 p.m. at the:

The agenda for meeting is as follows:

CALL TO ORDER

CALL TO THE PUBLIC: Call to the Public is held for public benefit to allow individuals to address issue(s) within the Board’s jurisdiction. Board members may not discuss items that are not specifically identified on the agenda. Therefore, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute §38-431.01(H), action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter, responding to criticism, or scheduling the matter for further discussion and decision at a future date.

  1. Action to approve February 28, 2013 minutes.
  2. Discussion and possible action to accept application for an Accidental Disability Retirement by Gregory Cargos and:

      A. Either direct the local board secretary to research orthopedic doctors to conduct an Independent Medical Evaluation; request applicant to obtain medical evidence for future consideration; OR deny the application for Accidental Disability Retirement.

      B. Set a possible date for the next hearing on this case.

  3. Action to approve New CORP Member(s) and acknowledge any pre-existing condition(s) – Michael Dean, Dulce Cuellar and Diana Pelayo.
  4. Acknowledge CORP Member(s) that have separated from employment with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office – George Myers.
  5. Set date for next quarterly meeting, June 12, 2013.
