Online Auctions
In an effort to reduce costs to the tax payers of Yuma County, the Sheriff’s Office is now auctioning seized vehicles via an on-line auction site. The revenue from the on-line auctions will be used by the Sheriff’s Office to continue to fund the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force in an ongoing effort to reduce drug related crimes in Yuma County. 

The Sheriff’s Office will be adding additional vehicles as they become available. Future auctions may also include other seized or abandoned items along with fleet vehicles. Click link below for current auctions.

Notice of Sheriff's Sale - Perishable, Personal and Real Property


Perishable, Personal and Real Property
Once property has been seized and is available for auction, A.R.S. 12-1621, Para. A, Section 1 requires notice of sales to be posted at three (3) locations within the county.  The Yuma County Sheriff's Office posts notices at the following locations:
  1. On this website
  2. The property location
  3. Yuma County Superior Court, 250 W. 2nd Street, Yuma, AZ 85364
  4. Yuma County Sheriff's Office - Main Office, 141 S. 3rd Avenue, Yuma, AZ  85364

For the sale of personal property other than that which is perishable, the Sheriff's Office shall post a "Notice of Sale" for not less than ten days successively before the day of sale as per A.R.S. 12-1621, Para. A, Section 2.

Seized property eligible for sale is sold at the location at which it is stored unless otherwise noted. The "Notice of Sale" documentation will outline the specific location of sale.

RDO EQUIPMENT CO., a Delaware Corporation, Plaintiff, vs. SOUTHWEST RECYCLING INC., an Arizona Corporation, Defendant.

Under and by virtue of a Writ of Special Execution issued out of and under the seal of the Superior Court of Yuma County, Arizona, on the 6th day of June, and to me as Sheriff duly directed and delivered in the above entitled action.

WHEREAS, on August 9, 2012 Plaintiff RDO Equipment Co. recovered a judgment in the above entitled Superior Court, in and for the County of Yuma, against the above-named Defendant Southwest Recycling, Inc. The amount of Judgment as of June 3, 2014 is $18,912.43, plus costs to date, not included in amount of Judgment of $93.00. The Judgment continues to accrue interest at 10% per annum from June 4, 2014 until paid in full, plus further accruing costs.

Taking into consideration any payments made on that judgment, costs to date and accrued interest to date, the total amount due on that judgment is $19,005.43 with interest thereon from the 4th day of June, 2014 the rate of 10% per annum plus accruing costs.

WHEREAS, the judgment roll in the action in which said judgment was entered is filed in the Clerk’s Office of said Court in the said County and State, on the day and year first above written, and the sum of $19,005.43, with interest thereon aforesaid and costs and accruing costs, is now at this date actually due on said judgment, and

WHEREAS, I am required to make the sum due on the said judgment, with interest and costs and accruing costs, to satisfy said judgment, I did, on the 21st day of July, 2014, levy upon all right, title, claim and interest of the within named Defendant, in, of and to the following described personal property, to-wit:

Chase Cashier’s Check no. 9247417667 payable to
Southwest Recycling, Inc. in the amount of $5,250.00

Public Notice is hereby given that I will, on the 7th day of August, at the hour of 10:30 A.M. at the steps of the Yuma County Courthouse, 250 W. 2nd Street, Yuma County, Arizona, sell all right, title, claim and interest of the Defendant, in, of and to the above described personal property to the highest bidder for cash or certified funds only in lawful money of the United States of America.
